TaxNest Privacy Policy

The short version
TaxNest keeps your tax information on your phone. We don't have your return, your Social Security number or your income on any server, because TaxNest never sends them to one. We do not sell or share your tax information.
What TaxNest stores, and where
Everything you enter (names, Social Security numbers, income, dependents, bank details for a refund, and the returns TaxNest prepares) is stored only on your device, in the phone's secure storage and behind your device passcode or biometrics. There is no TaxNest account and no cloud copy.
Because the data lives only on your device, we cannot recover it if you delete the app or lose the phone. Use the export feature to save a PDF of your return.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your tax information.
- We do not share your tax information with advertisers, data brokers or affiliates.
- We do not use your tax information to advertise to you or to build profiles.
- We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers on your return data.
- Consistent with Internal Revenue Code §7216 and its regulations, we will not use or disclose tax return information for any purpose other than preparing your return, unless you give us separate, informed written consent.
Printing and mailing
When you export or print your return, the PDF is created on your device. Where it goes after that (your printer, your email, a mail carrier) is your choice and outside our control. Keep printed and saved copies somewhere safe.
Information we do receive
If you email us at contact@mayaliventures.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write. Please do not email Social Security numbers or return details. We use messages only to answer you. App stores (Apple and Google) handle downloads and any purchases under their own privacy policies and tell us about those transactions, but not your tax data.
Children
TaxNest is intended for adults preparing their own return. It is not directed at children under 13.
Your choices
Delete the app to remove all of its data from your device. Because we hold none of your tax information, there is nothing for us to delete on our side; contact us if you have any question about your data.
Changes
If this policy changes we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Any change that would let us use or share tax information differently will require your consent first.
