1. General information only

Hearthstep gives general information about the steps of selling or buying a home in Michigan. It is not legal advice, real estate advice or tax advice, and it does not create an attorney-client or broker-client relationship. Every process step and deadline screen ends with the same advice: confirm with your broker or attorney.

Hearthstep does not tell you what your contract means or whether to sign, accept, waive, extend or reject anything. It does not give prices, home values or offer recommendations.

2. Your dates and documents

The dates you enter are yours, taken from your own contract. Hearthstep displays and reminds you of them but cannot verify them and may contain errors. Do not rely on Hearthstep alone for any deadline. Confirm every date with your broker or attorney.

3. Partner broker

Hearthstep may offer an introduction to a licensed partner broker. The broker is an independent business, identified by name and license number. Mayali Ventures LLC does not employ, supervise or receive payment from the broker for the introduction. Any agreement with a broker is between you and that broker.

4. Your data

Your information stays on your device as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your device and your backups.

5. Acceptable use

Use Hearthstep lawfully and for your own transaction. Don't reverse engineer, copy or resell the app.

6. No warranty; limits of liability

Hearthstep is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, Mayali Ventures LLC is not liable for missed deadlines, lost transactions or other losses arising from your use of Hearthstep, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits.
