TaxNest Terms of Service

1. What TaxNest is, and isn't
TaxNest is software that helps you prepare your own income tax return. You enter your information, TaxNest does the arithmetic and fills in the forms, and you review, sign and file the return yourself.
TaxNest is not tax advice. We are not a tax preparer, accountant, attorney or enrolled agent, and using TaxNest does not create any professional relationship. We are not affiliated with the IRS or any state tax agency. For advice about your situation, talk to a qualified tax professional.
2. You prepare your own return
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of every answer, for choosing your filing status, credits and deductions, for signing the return and for filing it on time. TaxNest can make mistakes, and tax law and forms change. Review your return line by line before you sign it. We do not promise any particular refund, that a return will be accepted or that it will not be audited.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older, or otherwise able to file a return for yourself. TaxNest supports the situations listed in the app; if your situation is not covered, the app will say so and you should use another method or a professional.
4. Your data
Your tax information stays on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your device's security and for keeping backups of your return. We cannot recover data you delete or lose.
5. Fees
Preparing and printing a federal return is free. Any optional paid features are shown clearly in the app before you pay and are billed by Apple or Google under their rules.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use TaxNest to prepare a false or fraudulent return, to prepare returns for other people for a fee, or to reverse engineer or resell the app.
7. No warranty; limits of liability
TaxNest is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, Mayali Ventures LLC is not liable for penalties, interest, lost refunds or other losses arising from your use of TaxNest or from errors in a return you file, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
